28 DAYS 'TIL CHRISTMAS!

Hello Everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had 23 counting 7 grandkids. Needless to say it was very noisy and busy here. Lots of food, fun and fellowship.
Michael and Kim flew up for 5 days. It was great seeing them. They got engaged in October and are getting married next October 25th in Kingston TN.
So who has started their Christmas shopping? (Not me, I can never do it early)
I am going to send a reminder to all again that our blog exists.
Also, is anyone interested in going to MT to visit Doug and Dee?
Doug and Dee - how was your trip? We haven't heard from you.
Hope to see some postings soon.

THE MOUNTAINS ARE CALLING

Hi all!

Fall is here in the Va. mountains and it is wonderful. I wish you were all here to enjoy it. (I should be careful what I wish for)....It's been a very busy time for The Clampetts; I mean Rosenbergs. You all know that with a senior in high school and a sophomore, it's crazy. I am absolutely getting to old for this. Geez, if I'm getting old, think about how old Bruce is! Kelly and I are ready for Montana or anywhere. We're pretty easy. I spent last week-end in Atlanta playing golf with Ron. We had a great time talking about our aches and pains while we played 54 holes in 2 days. On a serious note, I just want to tell ALL of you how important you are in my life. I think of you all very often and would love to live a little closer. As life goes on, my Chester, Parkside, and Brookhaven roots are paramount in everyday life. Anyway, enough from my front porch. I encourage everyone to write more often. Take time, it is important!

Anyone Out There?

Well, I am getting concerned now. Where is everyone?? Are we planning on a trip to Doug and Dee's Montana homestead next summer?

No one has expressed an interest yet.

So what has everyone been up to lately?

I am busy with class at Villanova. Lots of work. But I love being a "Wildcat"!

Hope someone blogs soon. I am getting depressed..... :(

No White after Labor Day

Hello all,
Remember when we were young and our moms said you couldn't wear white before Memorial Day and after Labor Day?? Well, I just wanted to remind you all that this is still a rule.

How was your Labor Day? Michael and his girlfriend flew up from Nashville on Thurs. night for a long weekend. We were busy everyday and had a lot of fun with the family. One of the highlights of their visit was sailing. We went on Saturday and were on the Chesapeake for about 8 hrs. It was an absolutely beautiful day for sailing. Dennis' brother has a boat docked in Havre de Grace and he treated us to a great day.

Well, summer is nearly over but we'll get some nice days this month. We're hoping to get to the shore again this weekend.

What's up with everybody? It is too quiet on here.

Ok, so now we need to start planning our trip to Montana next summer. Is everyone really interested?? Those that are, let me know. We will have to select a date and check with Doug and Dee and then start the plan.

Hope to hear from some of you. Is there anyone I need to invite to the blog? I do need Gary Pincock's email if you have it.

Love ya,
Betsy

End of summer

Hi guys, Betsy just informed me at Frank Dowman's funeral, that this is up and running for the old gang. I thought it was spam the first time around. anyway, I like the idea of a road trip to Montana next year. .........RV or Harley? We could try a Wild Hog deal, kind of filled that square back in 1970 though, RV may be more comfortable for the girls. Let's set a date and go for it!

Let the Good Times Roll

Hello All,
Where have the years gone? I'm still 25 in my mind. How about you? I read in the paper today our school nurse Mrs. Irons died, she was 86.
Should we borrow Marc's and Joan's camper? Dennis could drive and Gary&Ron could follow on their bikes. We might want to hire a nurse "just in case". I'm having flashbacks to Rehobeth Beach!!
I can't beleive we have another funeral this week-Frank was such a nice, kind.loving man . At times like this God's plans are hard to fathom. Trust these waning weeks of summer are good for all of you. Thank God for "old friends"!

Va. Mountains

Jude,
Kelly has her license but prefers to ride on the back (just like you did in high school)...I'm actually leaving tomorrow and riding the bike to Ft. Lauderdale to play golf with Steve Davies for the week-end.
Doug,
I hope you and Dee have a safe journey. You both are very special people and we love you. Hopefully we can coordinate a trip next summer to visit with you out west. Stay safe.

Gary

It's Montana

Thanks for setting this up to keep in touch. Reading this morning about the Thessolnica church. Paul sent Timothy from Corinth to greet the believers at Thessolinika, and then returned. Took several weeks. And we are communicating within minutes.

For the loss of Uncle Pete we grieve with all of you, and with the immeditae family. What a great testimony to Pete (and Helen) that this occasion brought us together again. And in reality if it was not for the good news of Jesus, we would not have met.

Keep us posted about any trip plans. We travel To NYC to pray at the UN Sept 8-12, and the to Jerusalem for a prayer convocation until Sept. 27. Care to join us?

Hey All, Now I get it. Gar, sounds like I great time. Does Kelly bike or just ride on the back? This will be a good way to stay in touch. Thanks Bets

Help me

Ok, now tell me what I signed up to do. I never blogged before.
Hi all!,

Bets, this is a great idea! Who knew you were this smart? I hope everyone communicates this way.
Kelly and I have our bike pointed west and we're ready to go. Of course, we're always ready to go. The weather in the Va. mountains is great. You're all invited to "come on down!"

Keeping in touch

When we were together for Uncle Pete's funeral - it was more of a celebration. It was great to see each other and spend time with each other. All of the reminiscing about our high school and Young Life days was fun and we made more memories together. Even though we don't see each other very often (more like at funerals these days), the bond remains between us. It was great seeing Doug and Dee. We thank them for the impact they have had on all of us.

Well, Gary wrote me and asked "Where is the newsletter?" I have been thinking about it for a while but being the procrastinator that I am.......

Anyway, I thought I would try this blog thing out instead. We can all communicate on it at any time. This can be a wonderful way to keep in touch - AND we can begin to PLAN the trip to Wyoming? or was it Montana? next summer to visit Doug and Dee. Betcha you all can't wait!

So please add a comment and lets get this started.
